Church Preen Primary School lies in between Much Wenlock and Church Stretton and serves a widely-spread rural community (see map). We are fortunate to be surrounded by the very lovely south Shropshire countryside which contains many fascinating historical and geographical points of interest; excellent starting points for lively topic work!
Many children enjoy after-school clubs. We encourage all children to have a go at a variety of activities - thus promoting lifelong interests and hobbies.
Highly rated by Ofsted, we mix old ‘Preen’ traditions with the latest technology boasting an interactive whiteboard in each classroom and suites of new computers. There are currently around 70 pupils on roll split between three classes - just small enough to get to know every child well, but large enough to have a good football team!
Children arrive by bus or car, some sharing lifts; the School’s Travel Plan seeks to promote sustainable initiatives. Besides obtaining a national Travel Award, the school has recently been awarded ‘Schools for Health’ status and also the ‘Activemark’ in recognition of its participation in many sporting activities.
