Church Preen is a rural community nestling at the foot of the north-westerly scarp face of Wenlock Edge within the beautiful Ape Dale. It is located just off the B4371 Much Wenlock to Church Stretton Road 12 miles south east of Shrewsbury and 17 miles south west of Telford.
It can be reached from the Shrewsbury direction via a variety of ways e.g through Acton Burnell, or Cound or Harley, and is also eaisly reached from Craven Arms and Ludlow.
Watch out for the 'Church Preen School' signs along the maze of lanes!
The Parish of Church Preen encompasses the hamlets of Hughley and Kenley, each containing quaint churches. The School and neighbouring Village Hall provide the focal point for the area and venue many functions. Church Preen Manor is within easy walking distance and the children are allowed to visit the exquisite gardens which are open to the public several times a year.
