Governors

Updated on 27 August 2008

STOP PRESS from Mrs Duffy on behalf of Governors!!!

In the final week of term, governors received an invitation to send any ideas they have on the subject of Primary Organisation to the Independent Policy Commission led by Neil Kinghan. Subsequently, parents and ALL interested parties have also been asked for their responses. These have to be in by September 12th. Good timing - just when the schools are on holiday?!

PLEASE send your thoughts on the importance of keeping rural schools (especially Church Preen!) open.

This exercise will feel like deja vu and will involve repeating all that we said back in February - ONLY LOUDER!!! One can either address a letter to Neil Kinghan, Independent Policy Commission, Shirehall, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY2 6ND or e mail

You may prefer to wait until the start of term when the governors will 'pool' ideas. Please watch this space for further information. I will be writing to Neil Kinghan to invite him for a visit here!

Primary Capital Programme, Consultation on the Primary Strategy for Change

On 6 June the Children and Young People’s Services sent to school a document called “Primary Capital Programme, Consultation on the Primary Strategy for Change”. This consultation is about how capital (£30.34million) will be spent in future years. The governors would like all interested parents to read this very carefully and send their comments to school asap (by 27 June).

Our joint reply to County needs to be with them by 4 July or individuals may reply directly to Norrie Porter. Hard copies are

available from school on request.
