Shire Services who organise school meals for Shropshire schools are increasingly aware of the importance of providing a healthy and appealing menu - even before Jamie Oliver! The latest initiative from Shire Services aims to reduce food miles and encourages the purchase of products from local farms.

We are very fortunate at Church Preen to have our own kitchen and wonderful staff willing to liaise with the Gardening Club and cook "school-grown" vegetables!
