Shire Services who organise school meals for Shropshire schools are increasingly aware of the importance of providing a healthy and appealing menu - even before Jamie Oliver! You may like to access their website at www.shropshire.gov.uk/schoolmeals.nsf. The latest initiative from Shire Services aims to reduce food miles and encourages the purchase of products from local farms.
We are very fortunate at Church Preen to have our own kitchen and wonderful staff willing to liaise with the Gardening Club and cook "school-grown" vegetables!

We are small enough to nurture each individual and to boost self esteem. EVERYONE IS GOOD AT SOMETHING!
Ofsted said "the contribution that pupils make to the school and the wider community is outstanding."
We make the most of what we have at school and utilise the local area in our learning (Wenlock Edge, Church Preen Manor etc)
We are always looking at creative and innovative ways of enhancing and enriching everyone's experience of Church Preen Primary School.
Respect for other people and their beliefs (We network with a large urban multi-cultural community school.)
Respect for our environment, local and global.
We work tirelessly to make sure that everyone has full access to all areas of learning and school life. We fully recognise everyone as an individual with individual needs.
The current cost of school meals is £2.00 per child per day.
School meals can be paid for weekly, monthly or 1/2 termly either by cheque (made payable to SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL) or cash.
It is most helpful if payment can be made on a Monday in a sealed envelope with your childs name on it. Any absences are carried over into the next week or term.
Any queries concerning payment will be dealt with by Mrs Case who can be contacted through the school office.
