A reminder for parents & carers, if your child is to be collected from school by anyone other than your selves it is important that you communicate this to the class teacher either verbally at drop off or via the link book if your child has one. Thank you

We look forward to a slice of normality and will be eating lunch in the hall again this week with social distancing measures in place between the classes.
Due to a child being identified as having a nut allergy we would politely ask that no nuts or nut-based products ie peanut butter are sent into school in packed lunches or as snacks. Many thanks
A reminder that children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 (Class 1) are entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals under the government scheme.
All other meals are charged at £2.40 per day (£12.00 per week) and can be paid for weekly, half termly or termly to suit. Cash or cheque payments are accepted. Please make cheques payable to Telford & Wrekin Council. Meals cannot be paid for via the school money app.

This week we have enjoyed making leaf people at Forest School. Don’t they look fantastic? Can you spot yours?
In Science we learned to name, identify and label parts of the body. Thank you Toby for asking an interesting question about your belly button, and thank you too to Matilda for giving us the answer!
In Maths, Reception‘s activities have all been about 1, 2 and 3. We have set up a fun tuff mat activity to consolidate this.
Star of the Week was Oliver Bunn for remembering the main characteristics of mammals well done!

ORDERS FOR CHRISTMAS CARDS - due in on Monday morning at the latest. Not everyone will have one of these letters. Depends on whether your child was in school this week when they were done.

your children will be learning to spell in school. This is only for information and there is no onus on yourselves or the children to be learning them at home.
P.E. will be on Mondays and Fridays. Children need to come to school dressed in their PE kit on these days. No uniform change is needed
Star of the Week for last week was Issy, who was awarded the certificate for great effort with her place value work in Maths.
Pupil in C2 have really developed their hockey skills and are now having mini-matches in PE which they have really enjoyed.

A reminder that Wednesday morning is our “gladiator” experience morning! They will also need to have their PE kit (with warm layers) in school for changing into before lunch.
Another reminder; homework books need to be handed in straight after half term in order to see how the children are getting on with their projects. Please can parents remember to complete the record sheet in their books and stick in photos etc. as evidence? Thank you!

The Mufti day is a PTA organised event on Thursday. Children can wear their own clothes or Halloween costume and bring a coloured gift. See poster above for more specific details on class colour.
Our netballers took part in the final WBS High 5 Netball Primary League on
Thursday. Again, they played extremely well, winning their match 3-0. We are so impressed with how much progress they have made since the beginning of the term.
We have our final science-based outdoor learning lesson on Monday. Please remember to wear appropriate clothing and bring wellies/old shoes or trainers to change into.
World War 2 Homework Project
We are impressed with some of the pieces already presented for the first piece of homework. The second piece is due on Thursday.

Safeguarding your children
If there is a change to the collection arrangements of your child at the end of the school day, then you must inform us via a telephone call to the school office or a message in the link books provided for such communication.
Dental / Medical appointments
Where possible these appointments should be sought out of school hours, so as not to impede your child's learning, but if this is not possible then the appointment card or letter must be bought to the school office, so the correct absence code can be used.
